JustMyNeighbors Overview

JustMyNeighbors is similar in concept to other neighbor networks with a couple important differences.

JustMyNeighbors defines your neighborhood as people that live within 1,000 feet of you. Every address has its own small neighbor network. This keeps the number of messages low and the quality of messages high.

JMN is also simple to use. Just send an email to [email protected]. You can reply to messages via email too. Your messages can include photos and attachments. You can post and reply to messages on the website, too.

JMN protects your privacy. On the site you are known by your first name and the name of your street. I’m “Kelly on Woodruff.” When I send a message from my normal email address, the message is updated to be from kelly_on_woodruff@justmyneighbor.... Your regular email address is never exposed. Likewise you home address is never exposed. There are maps, but they don’t show the locations of other participants–only the area covered by your network.

JMN has a simple privacy policy: We only collect the information needed to run the service (first name, home address and email address) and we don’t share that with anyone.
