GetDP Overview

GetDP is a general finite element solver using mixed elements to discretize de Rham-type complexes in one, two and three dimensions. The main feature of GetDP is the closeness between the input data defining discrete problems (written by the user in ASCII data files) and the symbolic mathematical expressions of these problems.
GetDP is a native Open Numerical Engineering LABoratory (ONELAB) client for electromagnetism, heat transfer, acoustics and generic PDEs. The goal of the ONELAB project is to develop a lightweight interface to finite element software for engineering applications.
ONELAB allows calling a determined sequence of independent clients (e.g. mesh generators, finite element solvers and other related tools) and have them share parameters and modeling information. The parameters can be controlled and displayed interactively using Gmsh's graphical user interface.
